2019 has been a year of firsts for Clevertouch.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary back in January, and now as 2019 closes, we’d like to take some time to look back on the year that closed a decade; from its highlights and successes, to the progress still to come as Clevertouch continues its’ mission to help customers make sense of martech.

Sunday Times Top 100 Employer and 3 Star Best Company to Work for

Back in 2018, after our accreditation to 2 star Best Company, our CEO Adam Sharp declared that:

"As a business we have 7 clear objectives, and being a Sunday Times Top 100 employer is one of them. We want to create fulfilling and well-paid jobs in a fabulous environment; jobs that provide guaranteed employability for everyone, be it here or elsewhere. This award is really a testament to the wider leadership team, the people we employ, and the amazing client base we work with.

We are growing at over 25% per annum and we will continue to create exciting opportunities in the future, in the new jobs we create, and the environment we work in. This is just the beginning for Clevertouch, and when we reach that Sunday Times 100, we will raise the bar again.”

Fast forward to the end of 2019, and we have met and then exceeded our previous expectations. We are now a 3 star best company 2020 and one of the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to work for 2019, and we are set to continue this streak into the top 50 over the next couple of years.

It really is an exciting time to work for Clevertouch, and as Adam says above, it is truly a testament to the management and employees here for setting such ambitious targets and exceeding them year on year.

2019 Wrapped: The closing of a Decade
Partnerships

Here at Clevertouch, we are proud partners of many of the industry leaders in the world of Marketing Technologyand this year we’ve been the recipient of numerous awards, from B2B Marketing Consultancy of the year, to the only Marketo Platinum Partner in Europe.

2019 brought innovation in our Salesforce capability, and we built on our wider martech offering with our strategic partnership with Seismic and Percolate, the only partnership of its kind in all EMEA. This partnership enables us to provide our clients with consultancy on Strategic Content Management and Sales Enablement, both increasingly important elements of the modern marketing department.

Growth and the New Office

In the last 10 years we have grown exponentially as a business, and 2019 has been no exception. This year has set the stage for the next phase of our business journey, and so the current brand, as well as the offices we’ve inhabited for the last 10 years, no longer suit who we are today and what we have become.

Consequently, there has been a huge recruitment drive over the last year with our numbers growing by 15. This, combined with our evolution into a business that offers more than just MA services, has led us to a change of identity, as well as a planned change of location. The new brand centres around a new idea that has evolved from the concept of intelligent engagement, and we are very excited to release more in the new year. Watch this space..

P.S It's not finished just yet, in case you were wondering...

Charity!

Charity is a big part of Clevertouch - from the Great South Run to Movember, we have always wanted to give back. Back in October, 17 of our employees embarked on the Great South Run in Portsmouth, a gruelling 10 mile run – more of a sprint if you’re Ash Blakeley, Dan Craft or Kathryn Vaughan! – and a thoroughly enjoyable day out that raised over £2500 for Macmillan Cancer Research. Coupled with our various coffee morning events we raised an impressive figure to help a worthy cause, and combined with our other charity efforts amounting to £2000, makes for an ambitious target to beat in the new year.

As October came to a close, the rest of the office prepared themselves for Movember, a charity event set up in aid of men’s health. This was a resounding successwith our marketing manager Matt Cheeseman winning the prize for most impressive moustache. We are now ending the year with a reverse advent calendar, collecting food for the Winchester Churches Nightshelter, an ever more important cause as we approach these cold winter months.

As an organisation we are excited to continue this trend of charitable events with the Southampton Half Marathon and the Blenheim triathlon in the new year.

What next?

Christmas is always the perfect time to reflect on the success of the past 12 months, but also the ideal moment to consider how that progress can be built upon for the new year. Here at Clevertouch we have a great deal planned for 2020, and we are all very excited to see what the new year, the new office, the new brand, and the fresh faces of our growing business brings.

Thank you to all our customers, employees and partners that we’ve worked with in 2019. Here’s to an even better 2020!
