On Sunday 20 October, our team of 16 CleverTouch Consulting athletes challenged themselves to take on the Great South Run as the world famous race celebrated its 30th anniversary.
To support our local community and charities which are close to our collective hearts, the team chose to raise funds for Macmillan & Make a Wish – our non-runners are also supporting that effort with a bake-off and quiz night with a target to raise £1600.
The annual road running race took place in the historic city of Portsmouth, covering 10 miles (16 kilometres) and taking in scenery including HMS Warrior, HMS Victory and the Spinnaker Tower, with beautifully sunny Autumn weather to see the team home.
Our runners clocked some magnificent times. The first CleverTouch runner over the line was Ashley Blakeley, completing the course with a lightning speed of 1 hour 12 minutes!
A huge congratulations to all our runners for their efforts and we hope their legs aren’t aching too much this morning!
There’s still time to donate to our two fabulous worthy causes and CleverTouch have pledged to match any donations, so if you want to support our team and help them hit their target then visit our fundraising page here.
Many thanks from all at CleverTouch Consulting.
