SEO will be an important part of your marketing efforts so you may be familiar with Pardot’s competitor monitoring functionality, allowing you to measure the number of indexed pages, the number of inbound links and Alexa Rank.
Google has recently made some updates to the data Pardot has access to. This has meant Pardot has had to rethink and improve the report.
Pardot has now released these updates and they’ve done some really nice work to provide much deeper insight. The Indexed Pages metric has now gone and in its place are four more detailed metrics to help you better measure your SEO impact against your competitors. Pardot's competitor monitoring now
- Page Authority: A normalised 100-point score that represents how likely the page is to rank highly in search engine results.
- Domain Authority: A normalised 100-point score that represents how likely a domain is to rank highly in search engine results.
- Links to Root Domain: does exactly what it says on the tin, giving you the total number of links, including internal and nofollow links, to the root domain of the URL.
- Root Domain External Links: The number of external equity links to the root domain of the URL.
The updates are now live and available to all Pardot customers. If you want to know how to best make the most of these updates and improve your SEO, get in touch.
