THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Martech Expert (MTE) is a mid-level role responsible for delivering technical solutions for clients, leading medium-sized projects, and acting as a trusted advisor for marketing automation initiatives. The MTE will be expected to leverage a strong technical skillset, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide guidance on best practices. Additionally, the MTE will support Project Managers and work closely with other teams to ensure a seamless technical delivery to clients.
- Execute complex digital marketing campaigns within Marketing Automation platforms.
- Design and implement tailored solutions in line with our clients' requirement.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their marketing needs and propose effective solutions for their marketing needs and problems.
- Collaborate with the wider technical team to share insights, best practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning, providing guidance to more junior members of the team.
- Facilitate collaboration between tech and the wider business.
- Keep up to date with emerging trends and tech in with the sector, contributing insights to the team and the wider business.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation within the the department and the wider business, working towards increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
- As this position is an ‘Expert’ level, there will be an expectation to achieve a certification on the relevant MA (marketing automation) platform within the first 6 months in post. This will be supported by the business.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of at least one marketing automation platform, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement or Account Engagement, Marketo Engage or others.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and API integrations, with the ability to develop custom solutions that meet client needs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and clients in an approachable manner.
- Ability to manage client relationships, effectively resolve technical queries, and maintain strong working relationships with clients and project teams.
- Experience leading technical projects within a Martech environment, such as leading the implementation of a new platform or solving complex technical integration issues.
