How secure are your Pardot forms?

Landing pages and forms come with a link that begins ‘http’, but URLs that begin ‘http’ don’t have encrypted communication, meaning they may not be secure and the user’s interactions are at risk of being hacked.

What can you do to secure your form submissions?

Pardot has a security certificate for one domain: ‘go.pardot.com’. If you want to make your forms secure but want to keep your personalised tracker domain, you can do this, but it gets complicated and there are limitations.Note that you won’t be able to use a vanity URL.

  • When you put the link to your landing page in an email, you’ll need to replace your personalised CNAME (http://your.CNAME.com) with https://go.pardot.com.
  • All style sheets and JS files will also need to be secured in the same way.
  • Check your page online. If you see a padlock – you can rest assured that your page and all data submitted is secure.
